My name is Bennett Deshishku and I am from Kensington, Maryland. My plan is to graduate in fall 2024 but that might get pushed back to spring 2025 depending on how things play out. I was initially an animal behavior major before switching to a social work major and have now switched again to a communications major. The reason why I chose UNE is surprisingly simple. When I was looking for places to apply, UNE was the only one that actively reached out to me. This made me feel like they wanted me around which is something I deeply value.
Ideally, this handbook would allow the reader to use the information in it to help point them in the right direction during their transition from high school to college living. This handbook contains the stories and advice from students of every level and even some of the staff on campus. There are many resources that can help you transition to living on campus and this handbook is proof of that.
